The 72 Show - Episode 2.25 (With Nick Tanner)

Anthony Kendrick and Nick Davie are joined by former Liverpool and Bristol Rovers player Nick Tanner.

We open the show by disucssing Nick's career. This includes his notable spell at Liverpool, along with Bristol Rovers. We also mention his loan spells and Norwich and Swindon. His career was ended early by a back injury, but since he has done various charity work and has been working on a book, which we discuss.

We then move on to discuss the football league, starting with the Championship. Blackburn are currently in the relegation zone, but can they get out of trouble? Harry Redknapp has replaced Gianfranco Zola as Birmingham manager with the side hovering just above the relegation zone, but can they get another win to confirm their safety? And also, can Leeds get back in the play-offs following their recent poor form including a loss to Burton Albion.

League One has the final gameweek this Sunday and we discuss the final gameweek. Nick Tanner discusses Bristol Rovers, who are set for a mid-table finish. Should they be targetting a play-off spot next season? We also discuss Port Vale's trip to Fleetwood, which is crucial to both sides. Port Vale need a win to have any chance of avoid relegation, and whether Bolton or Fleetwood will get the final automatic promotion spot, and whether Port Vale can escapre relegation.

In League Two, the automatic promotion spots are confirmed with Plymouth, Portsmouth and Doncaster all confirmed but it is still all to play for in the playoff race, with three points separating six sides. And at the bottom of the table, will Newport complete the great escape from the relegation zone after getting another win to move two points ahead of Hartlerpool? We then move on to discuss the National Leaguem with Lincoln confirmed as Champions.
