The 72 Show - Episode 2.6 (with Andy Couzens)

Anthony Kendrick is joined by Nick Davie and former Leeds, Carlisle and Blackpool midfielder Andy Couzens.

In this week's show, we find out what Andy is doing now that he has retired from football and how an early retirement aged 25 changed his life. We discuss Leeds this week as our club in depth, where Andy currently works on matchdays. The club currently sit ninth with Garry Monk in charge, but can they achieve the playoffs? They have also had a fantastic cup run and will face Liverpool in the EFL Quarter Final.

The Championship Round-up includes a huge 5-0 win for Brighton over promotion rivals Norwich, as well as Newcastle getting their sixth win in a row to stay top of the table. Derby County have brought back Steve McClaren who has won two games so far. We also discuss the sacking of Wolves manager Walter Zenga. Do chairmen give managers enough time, or are they too quick to sack them when the going gets tough?

League One sees us look at where Karl Robinson will go following his mutual consent departure from MK Dons. He was the second longest serving manager in the FL72. Bury have lost their last six games to end up in the bottom half, but the table remains extremely competitive at the top of an unpredictable League One. Paul Hurst also fared well in his first game as Shrewsbury boss with a 1-1 draw with Southend.

In League Two we review Andy's former clubs. Blackpool are in 15th, but with only four points separating them from the play-offs, is this achieveable? Carlisle remain the only unbeaten 72 side, and are second in the table. At the bottom of the table Graham Westley won his frist game as Newport boss, beating Accrington 3-1.
